Ironclad server disconnect online in game

I have no problem joining a game online, and i have no problem playing it, but 45 min in the game i get disconnected, but i continue playing and none of the players im playing with responds to my messages no matter what i write, so they have probably been replaced by bots. But why is that? and how can i fix it

 

Of all the 3 games i have played i have been disconnected 45-60 min in the game and continued playing... with bots.

 

I have no problems connecting to the ironclad server, or joining a game, and my ping is very stable. 

 

btw im not hosting, and i have entrenchment installed.

No. All three times were with different hosts. If anyone could clear things up that would be great ^^

This actually happens somewhat often, and some players are more susceptible to it than others.  For instance, P5yy dropped like crazy one day.  On another day, it's somebody else.  My theory is the combination of the Alloy code and some freekiness of the users connection on that day (i.e., Thunderstorms) cause ICO to drop you.  When it drops you, you get to play against a bunch of AIs.  It occasionally happens to me, but not consistently at the same time.  If the host turns off Alloy, this usually solves the problem, but not always.

Thank you very much Howdidudothat, great post. So there is not really anything i can do about it but keep trying and telling the host to turn of alloy?

Well, I wouldn't tell them to turn off alloy, I would suggest it.  In order for them to turn it off, and host, the host has to have their router setup properly, go to host settings (which will kick everyone out of the game lobby), disably alloy, and rehost the game.  So just be aware of the prereq.

 

Otherwise, no, there isn't a lot you can do about it, just make sure your connection stays stable.  But really, it's all just voodoo, as sometimes ICO will just burp and throw everyone off.

I am having the same problem, it happens everytime I play online.  I get booted from inronclad whether or not I am hosting...

UPDATE: I turned off alloy and configured my network to allow hosting and now no more disconnections, I played for 3 hrs straight without an issue.  It appears alloy is the culprit
