Galaxy Forge Problem

I just downloaded Galaxy Forge (the version currently at sinsofasolarempire.com), extracted the files, and attempted to start the program. However, whenever I attempt to start Galaxy Forge, Windows immediately says "GalaxyForge has stopped working". I have the latest version of Sins and also recently puchased Entrenchment. I'm also running it in Vista. Does anyone know what the problem might be?

Update: I also downloaded the same files onto an XP machine and a "GalaxyForge has encountered a problem and needs to close..." dialog box appeared.
