Icons no longer appearing after uninstall?

I've recently uninstalled Windowsblinds (and a bunch of other Object Descktop stuff) and now very few of my icons appear on either shortcuts or for that matter on the .exe files anymore. They just appear as a white rectangle. I try to change the icon on the shortcut and it appears in hte properties, but Apply or OK, but nothing happens to them. They still appear as the white rectangle.

I've check the exefile\defaulticon registry entry and that seems fine. I've deleted the iconcache from my appdata\local directory and that makes not difference.

Anyone have any ideas?

If you used Icon Packager to change your icons,did you apply your default icons before uninstalling IP? If not you'll need to reinstall Icon Packager,set you icons back to default and then uninstall IP.
