I am assuming that the present 8 demigods are it for now. I know that more will be added as bonuses post release.
I'm wondering how many we can expect? Might there be 10, 12, 24, 48 down the road? Seems that additonal demigods will be very good for expansions....
Can modders add more demigods?

I like the thought of more demigods coming out in later expansions (That'll probably be my dream for tonight

I think at least 2 more Demigods are planned, and I think Frogboy said at one point that GPG had 4 Demigods that they would like to eventually get in. This is probably pretty dependent on how well the game sells, however. I wouldn't expect 20+; even 16 is more than we'll probably be getting for a long time. It takes a long time and a lot of money to make new ones.
Modders can probably add more Demigods if GPG makes modding possible; I'm not sure now but a while back it seemed possible that modding would be impossible.
As far as modders adding in demigods goes, we would need GPG/Stardock to release a Granny 3D exporter of whatever version (7.something?) they are using. Without that, it won't happen.
