[Question] Never ending modding?

Hi guys,

long time no see!!! It´s been a long time since I hade the chance to play this game again.

One of the reasons why this game is so good, is because the game is easy to mod! And there is the problem too!?!

With every patch you have to do the modding again!!! Don´t get me wrong, it is nice that Ironclad is trying to eliminate all problems. But I as a modder have always to adjust my changes according to the new patch.

So my question is, is there a way to somehow implement only the modified files, and not always have to change the whole "gameinfo" folder. You alway have to adjust the stings too. I thought there was the talk to change that. I could be wrong, as I said long time absence!!!

Any help and info would be nice. Never the less one of the greatest games, looking forward to play entrenchment.

Entrenchment does this now. It has a lot of cool mod-related changes. You can load multiple mods at once too, it uses a priority system so the higher priority would just override the lower one if they change the same stuff. It gives you a lot of flexibility and makes mod compatibility real easy. Check it out. The new Forge Tools should have updated documentation of how it all works.

There really is no way to get rid of having to update GameInfo between patches until the format stops changing :P
