Regulus Build

any thoughts

Hi Guys, I've mainly been playing Rook in the game and have now decided to play around with Reg. I have so far found him underpowered which probably means I'm not doing something correctly. If any of you Reg players have time to impart some of your build knowledge I would appreciate it.

cheers

Hey we had a game together recently I think :)

First thing I can tell you is you have to get at least the first range upgrade asap. Second one is reccomended and third one I get most of the time. I am not talking about the "Snipe" ability, I am talking about "Scope" which increases his default range. Dont think you did this when I was playing with you.

There is also two main ways of playing Regulus - at least for me.

Angel Build:
This is where you max the Angel ability asap. Get as many gloves as possible for extra DPS but also try to try and get some balance between hp and mana. Wyskmin Gloves with this build is a near-must, as for only 1.5k does you much good,

Putting points in the other abilities is up to you and how you want to play. Maim/Mark of betrayal is very useful for slowing your opponents down and snipe/mines can be used for extra damage (though require some more mana).

Snipe/Mines:
This build is much more mana dependant from the first, though can be just as deadly. Maxing snipe allows you do damage/finish off retreating DG's. Bunching up mines on flags at later levels followed by an immediate snipe when they walk over them can nearly insta-kill them. Mark of betrayal is reccomnded too as its extra damage/slowdown can be very helpful. I would reccomened mana + hp items for this build.

I would only use this build if you have a strong melee character on your side or a decent tanker (UB/Rook) as this Reg is not good head to head as the first build is - though can dish out lots of damage from a distance.

Anyway hope that helped as a basic guideline

yes i started to play regulus a lot and i just love him, also my style was always to hit from 90 yards away

i mostly use snipe/mines build since i can just put huge dmg with mine fields at flags and snipe isnt only useful for killing an enemylow health demigod if u have a lot of mana u can continiously use it and hit anyone u can see and help ur allies. Also team with 2 regulus is insane.

My build

first take immidiately teleport scroll and move immidiately to the second most useful flag so u can capture it easy depented on which map u are(at caratract go for health flag for a health advantage) when u take it u can use a flag lock(optional) and then go to the xp flag since its the first most ppl go to take. Best is to first take scroll and teleport and in the middle time u can buy a favor item(prefer blood of fallen since helps for survability) then take snipe as first skill. It is really difficult to catch a good regulus without warpstone so u ll almost never need to spend money on potions. The items i use for this build is first collect 1750 to buy the 1750 worth helmet(this will make things a bit more easier for u to use skills) after that collect 1500 and buy the 1500 worth helmet then u will have almost unlimited mana until a lvl. Then u can just spam snipe at every demigod u see without any problem, then use 8 mines at a flag and put a totem so if u see anyone coming and touch the mines, ready a snipe and if he falls on all mines he is 90% dead. Also when ppl start to realize u are using mine fields they will not move close to flags so u are like invenaruble if u stand around ur mine field. Other skills i may use is gadget device or scope to take out towers. Other items are 1500 worth armor and maybe a warpstone(but snce it will be removed u can buy seed boost items). Also mark of the betrayer can be really  good to slow down a enemy quick and do some dmg.

I like the angel build but it may be a bit costly and not so safe since u have to be a bit close until u take scope. For that build good items would be

poisoned dagger(favor item) or the rapier that gives attack speed and 250 health.

then Wyskmin Gloves

a helmet so it can keep up angel fury

3300 worth gloves that give 10% for 2xdmg

but i mostly use snipe/mines since i a very safe and i only need to go close if a demigod has very low hp, Also spamming snipe on tower and demigods is always good since with 2 helmets there is no problem on mana

I usually only put 1 point in snipe for finishing

Angelic Fury is a must max it out

Get the + on the bottom

Increase your range

and maim

mines later

Favor I usually get +40 damage +5% attack speed

I get wyrmskin gloves and anything to increase attack speed and 1750 helm for mana for angelic fury

Then I really try for the 10000 cloak that give +30% attack speed

it's like having machine gun regulus :)
