Survival Game Mode

So Capture the Flag is good, Deathmatch is set and Assault kicks ass....think it's time to create a 4th alternative sins game mode >>> SURVIVAL <<<

Now the concept for this game mode would be to have Imminent pirate raids in increasing difficulty and spawn time (SOMEONE TELL ME IF ITS POSSIBLE TO MAKE PIRATE RAIDS APPEAR CLOSER AND CLOSER IN TIME? please) which would randomly attack anyone in sight (IS there a way to disable the ATTACK HIGHEST BOUNTY ONLY?).

 

Now the map layout would be like a bracelet...with 8 dead asteroids (with only 500hp) surrounding a central planet (the Pirate Base). All 7 Da's will be linked to this Pirate Base so that raids can go ANYWHERE.

The game layout would be that both teams start with a preset DA with set buildings say 2 frigate factories, 1 capship factory, MAX LABS, some basic static D but a predefined balanced fleet.

Now in the 7 DA's, you will have 1 of them that will contain one crystal and one metal extractor which will grant very good income to the player that captures and holds it!

 

Point of the game would be to SURVIVE as long as you can to the pirate raids which, whatever happens, will become overwhelming powerful!! Be the last one standing sort of speak!

By capturing the neutral asteroids (wont be able to build ANYTHING on them except for static D) or by annihilating the opposing fleet....!!

 

So how does this sound?

:)  Sounds Pretty Cool to Me!!!   :)   The thing with the Pirates is pretty interesting :)  You could give them All the Tech research and ships and caps too, even beef up the specs if you want, and give them crystal and metal extractors on the Pirate base that gives very very good income, and then fasten your seat belt and hold on!!!   :)  It seems that as they research and build and research and build their fleets will just get larger and larger, while as you say, the map will have the other two players with just the set amount that was given on the map. Oh, you would need to disable the factories for them, but that might not be too bad.  Hmmm.... can we really do that though?  Just the set amount? Maybe we could raise the cost or set a higher delay on the ships so that the Pirates always have an ever increasing edge? Maybe by the end of the game our little 50 ship fleet can in no way ever ever overcome the 500 plus the Pirates have, or the 1000.  :)

Sorta like no way to win at all, just outlast the other person?   :)  Hmmm.... Just thinking out loud, hope i havent ruined your idea.

Go for it, I'm surprised more mods haven't asked to include your alternate game mods. Of course, I don't think you have to use pirate ships. It be awesome if the pirates could use ships from all races (and mabye even a couple for various other mods), but just 300+ pirates with a couple of Marza's would be challanging enough (Sadly I don't think you can spawn lvl 6 capital ships at start 8C ). Well Goa...guess I'll create the Pirate Raids to spawn form a list containg ALL SINS SHIPS! That way it'll be SOOO random!

 

BTW have any answer to the 2 questions:

-Can I make the pirates go for RANDOM TARGETS ONLY? Either by making them a playable race or something like that?? PLEASE!

-Can I make it so pirate raids occur more and more frequent???
