Can people with Entrechment play with people without Entrenchment?

Sorry if this has been posted before, but I've tried searching for the answer and found nothing.

If I buy entrenchment, will I be able to play multiplayer games with friends of mine that don't buy entrenchment? I've got a solid group of people that I play with, but most of them don't want to shell out the $10 bucks for entrechment just yet because they haven't been playing the game long enough.

I've only been playing Sins for about a week and I really want to pick up the expansion :D , I just wanna make sure I'll still be able to play with the old crew (of cheapskates :P )

You can play Original sins and Entrenchment separately, so yes you can. :)

In multiplayer you can only ever play with people who have the same game version and/or addons. When you have Entrenchment installed you can still load only vanilla Sins to play with people who don't have the addon. Though why anyone would buy it is beyond my understanding ; - D
