Internet explorer 7.0

This IE7 requirement is ridiculous.  I never use IE.... was interested to try out Impulse.  Requires IE 7... ok... of we go download, install, error with IE install... now crawling thru forums to try and get IE 7, so I can get Impulse, so I can get games.... Don't know why Stardock want create this barrier to entry.

Impulse requires at least Internet Explorer 7 to be installed in order to run (see the requirements here: http://www.impulsedriven.com/about.aspx).  This is due to the fact that Impulse uses Internet Explorer's web rendering engine to display any web based content (such as the store, community pages, EULAs for software, etc.)  If you use Firefox/Opera/etc. as your default web browser, please feel free to continue to do so.  Impulse simply requires that IE7 be installed, not that you make it your default browser or use it instead of other browsers.

LOL, I love these posts.  Who needs to use IE7?  Nobody.  But you sure need to have it installed or else you have some huge security flaws in Windows.  IE is a part of the OS and you need to keep it updated so you aren't as vulnerable.  So get IE7 and it's updates installed, be secure and never use it.

ummm no it doesn't req IE 7 cause I'm not running it here.....the version they have on the website makes ya have 7 but I have an older copy of impulse that gripes IE 7 isn't installed but updates and lets me gets games and stuff without IE 7. when I install impulse it gripes it needs a newer version but still logs me in and then d/l's 2 updates and it still lets me use it....
