turning stars colonizable-please help

yes, i want to make stars colonizable :)

but when i make all the changes to the star entity file, it doesn't work. do i have to change the colonigation ability files too? here is the blue star merged with a volcanic planet for the research and population:

 

If anyone sees anything wrong, PLEASE HELP! i have been working on this for several hours and gotten nowhere!

Well since you changed the Star entity to a planet entity coronas, skyboxes and anything unique to a star can no longer be used.  Remember you also need to go into to the galaxyscenario config file and make sure that you place the new blue star (planet version) as a spawnable planet and not a star otherwise it will still not work.  Here is what you would do to get the same texture and mesh of a star to be colonizable.  Take a look at what I changed and then just go do trial and error until you get it just the way you like it.
