Map Editor quirky

More than I asked for...

While trying to use the map editor, it seems that the program adds more planets and "fills in" for the possibility for four player weather I say the max number is two or not... ...is there an editor that actually lets people edit the details of a map? (asteroid - crystal or metal in system - etc...)

No, I do not think there is a real map editor for sins of a solar empire. your map problem does not hapin on my version of the game.
