Impulse nuked sins

ok. i really really do love ironclad and the great work they do, and seeing as how this isn't their fault anyway...

so, i go to update to entrenchment final. Impulse complains that the beta needs uninstalled. No problem sez i, most games don't like to stack a final on the beta build. So i right click entrenchment and choose }:) uninstall}:) .

:banhammer:   :waaaa:

impulse happily starts uninstalling sins and queues up entrenchment to be deleted to.(wtf? shouldnt the Xpack get pulled first anyway) i hit cancel for entrenchment but it was too late for original sin and i just had to uninstall entrenchment anyway, so.... now i get to download the whole thing again.

Yeah, Blair said on IRC that this should be temporary and the uninstall behavior for Entrenchment will improve. They probably did this because they wanted to make sure everything was installed properly, since to make the Manifest system workable they had to change around the directory layout and stuff.

yeah. now come download sins + entrenchment on my 70kbps(real download speed) connection. at least it can climb to 100kbps on impulse.

just show me the preorder link for the next XPack and all is good :P

further more, does anyone know why impulse somehow manages to nuke the NTFS metadata of the game's sound directory upon uninstalling? have to restart after uninstall to be able to delete. because apparently there are administrative rights beyond being an administrator ;) . Win7 x64.

That's gotta be a Win7 thing. Wouldn't count at them making sure it all works in Win7 until that's closer to launch :P
