Issues with latest patch

I went and hit up Impulse for the 1.14 patch and during the installation a notepat .txt message pops up with some nonsense about my serial number not working with Impulse. 

This doesn't really make any sense seeing as it worked fine since I bought the game last week. 

Anyway, aside from that, in Impulse it still shows everything as normal, despite what the .txt file says; however when I loaded up Sins, all my settings had totally been erased or something, graphics, controls, etc.  All my saves were Invalid and my character data disappeared entirely. 

I assume this wasn't supposed to happen with the update?  Whats the deal?

Hmm...now when I go to the "Ironclad Online" option in Sins, and try to log in I get an Account not found error...which uh...I'm logged in here, so...what?

EDIT: I Guess the save files being invalid is fairly normal, so I'm not concerned about that really.

 

But my account not working in-game is a little disconcerting.

I don't know anyone else who plays atm to test multiplayer, but I can play solo fine; I just had to recreate my player and stuff and restore all my settings that up and were deleted.
