Hi, etc. New member checking in

Hi all.

Had this game for a few months now and am playing it increasingly more so joined the forum to start looking for additional features or general things to enhance the game with.

In terms of "must have" add ons for Sins are there any I should look out for? I was kinda thinking there might be add ons done by people with say Star Trek / Star Wars type themes or maybe of our own solar system.

I'll have a look around, fresh off the boat though.

Hi there and welcome to the boards! There are indeed Star Trek and Star Wars mods in the works, both are still in beta. Bailknight's mod is also pretty popular and it basically changes all the particle effects (in vanilla Sins, Entrenchment has a bunch of new ones) to make combat more flashy. 7 Deadly Sins is sort of a mega-mod that's a collection of a bunch of different ones.

There are others, just check out the Modding forum, they all have their long threads

Hi thanks.

Have given this game massive time over the last few weeks. Usually, if I have spare time to play the PC I play Football Manager 2009... so for Sins to take precedence, it truly is a great game.

I just clicked the Check for Updates button on the game itself, prior to today I have had nothing to to with the online side of things. It's giving me an error message, and then I found this thread... https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/334392

and I have the exact same problem. The game was bought as new, in wrapped packaging. I find it hard to believe someone has guessed my code. So, the Impulse thing downloaded two updates just, and now I try and register them it will not let me.

Hm, in that case you should do as Island Dog posted in reply #4 in that thread. Only SD support can resolve serial issues
