Eats double clicks?

I use a program called "Directory Opus" for many, many things. I've got it configured so that a double click on the desktop will open

DOpus for me. After installing Deskscapes, I no longer have that functionality. If I use a regular windows wallpaper, I'm fine, but a Dream eats my double clicks. I'm using Vista 64 btw.

Any way of getting Deskscapes to ignore the double clicks and letting them pass on through to DOpus? If not, then I've wasted my money on this product!

I was thinking of getting that DO9....but I run Neil Banfield's "Stars" Dream...just an aside...

you could use a workaround like putting DOpus on your Quickstart bar, or, if you use Object Dock, you could access it that way.

Have you looked into Object Dock? There's a free one LINK or you could get Object Dock Plus. Don't know if Rocket Dock works with Deskscapes running, but Object Dock Plus certainly does. Circle Dock doesn't.

Hope that's a help, JohnnyChemo. :sun:

I'd rather find a way to make them play nice together. Dopus wins hands down if there is a decision between the two to make.

Considering the problems I've had (and others too from the posts) with losing all my icons using Icon Packager, and now this incompatibility, makes me regret dropping the $ for Object Desktop.

you can easily right click > New Lister to open it.

I've used Dopus since it came out for windows, and before when I was an Amiga user. I'm too old to change my ways!

It also seems like I should be able to configure DS not to trap the double clicks. The fact that I cant makes it seem narrowly written. It doesn't seem to do anything with the mouseclicks, why should it not pass them along?
