This is the 2nd straight night this has happened to me, in online play. It just caused me to lose a game, because I eventually quit out of sheer frustration.
There is a bug that causes a waypoint you set on a planet to at some point shift. For instance, tonight I was playing a heated battle against an aggressive opponent who had just taken one of my asteroids. I counterattacked the asteroid. We both had space whales there and assailants pumping in. He teched to transporters and started pumping those, so I teched to transporters. As you can imagine it was quite furious and fast-paced and hectic - I won't go into all the details. But I had my frig factories set to pump all my stuff to a location one roid back from the conflict. At any rate, at the worst possible moment, when I needed to pull ALL of my stuff out of the roid we were fighting over and regroup, the waypoint magically shifted so all my stuff started going to the "conflict roid" which I was pulling out of, instead of the "safe roid" 1 jump back. So I'm pulling my almost dead capship out along with what remains of a few assailants, and I see all my stuff from the safe roid JUMPING IN to the roid I'm leaving! I'm grabbing it all and furiously clicking to send it one roid back, meanwhile stuff which is arriving at the safe roid AGAIN jumps to the conflict roid. I furiously scroll to my home planet where I have 2 frig factories pumping. I carefully select the waypoint thing, click on the "safe roid," then I go back to find yet MORE STUFF jumping to the conflict roid. I scream, bang the keyboard, select it all and right click back to the safe roid. Then I make sure to monotonously select EVERYTHING I SEE IN TRANSIT and I tell it to explicitly go 1 to the safe roid. Nope - everything still jumps to the conflict roid, giving this guy massive free kills as he just shreds me because my interface has gone haywire.
At this point, I make 1 last ditch attempt to save the game. I click back on my home planet and click EACH INDIVIDUAL FRIG FACTORY and set a way point for each one. Did it work? Nope. So I just "gg" and quit, and came straight here to make this post.
This happened to me last night too.
Has anyone else seen this? Is this a known or reported bug?
Thanks.
