Fatal error when running fraps

I've run fraps twice (In order to show a couple of glitches with the game) both times the session ended with a fatal error. First the game becomes unresponsive, then looping sounds with my audio, ctrl-alt-del to task manager, close the applicaion...looping sound won't end until the computer is restarted. Asus Xonar DX audio card. Posted on Asus forums as well. should probably tell the makers of fraps as well.
