Forgetools in Vista?

OK Ive downloaded the 1.1 package and un-rared it. Both partical forge and the dev tools dont work though Galxey forge runs fine.

 

Partical Forge gives a 'stopped working' error and the Dev tools are asking of a Dx9 dll.

What does one do to fix these problems?

 

Sorry if its explained somewhere but after poking around i couldn't find anything and the search seems broken. Couldn't find ANYTHING with 'Vista' in it.

I think Particle Forge needs to be in the install folder. I think.

The DX9 DLL thing probably means your install of DirectX isn't complete. Generally, you can just google that particular DLL and download it.

I'll try  moving it to the Install folder.

 

And the DX9 thing is not because of an incomplete install. Vista never ever has had Dx9 compatability. Unless you installed over an XP install.

Well that didnt work.

Any particular place in the install i should put it? I cant find any notes on it having to be anywhere.

d3dx9_36.dll is the missing file. so thats probably me venting about other Dx9 apps not working.
