Strange Delay On Clicking Icons

An annoying problem which seems to occur on any Dock i use

from Stardock Forums

I recently started using this program, along with other desktop mods, and i really enjoy it. the only major problem which i have found, which reduces its usefulness to me drastically, is that when i click an icon, most commonly icons such as My Computer or My Documents, there is a large delay before the window is opened, sometimes even up to a minute or two...

if anybody has any suggestions they would be very helpful

this problem also occured when using Rocket Dock, though i make no comparisons between the two, it may be useful info for diagnosing the problem!

Have you taken a look at your task Manager? How many "handles" are in use? Bichur's suggestion about your sysinfo was a good one....please help to help you. ;) :sun:

Im using Widows XP x32, and am also using DeskSpace and Desktop Icon Toy v3.3 to modify my desktop.

im not sure what you mean by 'handles' DrJBHL sorry, if you mean processes then id say around 50-60
