Error Validating Registration ?

Hello All!

 

Quick question

 

When I go to the sins website they let me DL that update then tell me to go further I need Impulse.  When I dl'd that and tried to get the new update it gave me a registration error saying that only CD keys provided by stardock work.

 

So I have a registered and legit version but it won't let me update.  Any suggestions? Thx!

Did you buy it used? If so, somebody else has probably already registered that serial number. Make sure the store didn't repackage a used one as new either.

I work at gamestop and it was a copy that we got in fresh and factory sealed on day 1 of release =)

Stardock lets me update on their site but for some reason impulse doesn't recognize the key.

 

Hopefully it will get resolved soon!

Nethom, i had this problem.

 

I looked at registrations and i had:

 

1. Sins of a solar empire - Registerd

2. Sins - Entrenchment

3. Sins- Entrenchment.

 

So, i deleted the 2 entrenchments, and added a new registration, (MAKE SURE YOU PUT THE EMAIL YOU USED WHEN PAYING FOR IT, IE, PAYPAL) and it worked. I was putting in the email i thought i registerd it with.

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling , that didn't work.

 

Tech support still hasn't contacted me back =(

Is there an external DL for the patch ? I would really like to see how the game is after all of the work that this great team has put into it!

They're off on the weekends, and so are probably working through a bit of a backlog.

There's no external download.

when you say uninstalled do you mean just going into Remove programs i had the same problem i had to do regedit to completely remove it

Still no reply =(

 

Ticket is still open.

 

About how long does it usually take them ? It's been about 2 full days now.

 

I tried uninstalling / reinstalling , uninstalling impulse, uninstalling impulse and uninstalling Sins, then reinstalling impulse and Dl'ing sins with impulse , same message =(

Check your mail nathom2000 (and we did respond on Jan 4th, again on the 5th, and today) you should be all set.

Yes , I have been in touch with a tech, several different issues but we are getting them squared away : ) They are being very helpful.
