Hey. I'm also a SOTS player. It's hard to tell which is more on strategy side and which is more tactical. I guess give that SOTS you can micro every battle, where in Sins it's soemtimes not possible, and your attention is very devided, you could argue that Sins is more strategic than Sots, which is more tactical. But Sins has many tactical elements which, only become clear in multiplayer.
Multiplayer really is the winner for Sins. Because the matches take a more reasonable amount of tiem than they do in SOts. However, that might change with entrenchment. In which case it won't make me happy. Nor will it sit well with others who enjoy more than 1 game a day.
Anyway, enjoy the game. It is not so easy to pick up, and the tutorial is very basic. But as a Sots player, you will probably figure your way around the game in no time.
