Hey all,

so im inquiring about screenies as i need to post some for an AAR im just starting to write. So far i've taken two by pressing printscreen button and then pasting in the paint application and saving. The last time i did this however my game crashed when i tried ot go back into it. IM therefore looking for an IN-game way to take screenshots. is there a button that does this and saves the picture in a folder somewhere in the game directory????

ok so if i get what your saying there is no in-game button that will save a screenshot in a folder.

There is in TA.

It's either alt+prtscrn or ctrl+prtscrn.  I always forget which so I've just been tapping them both.

It saves it to a Screenshots directory in the appropriate folder in My Games.

I would go with Screenshot Captor as it should cover all you need to do and even a few extras such as notations on the images if required too.

I downloaded and installed that one but it doesnt seem to work. I also got fastone capture but heven't yet tried it with the game. Im sure it'll be fine tho.

ok so a couple of months later im finally ready to post a pic. I am using faststone capture and have uploaded an image onto imageshack. Now when posting a screenshot on the forum here which URL do i use? Im not too sure how to use imageshack properly. There are two choices of URLs, either embedable or thumbnail. Which one do i select?

Use Thumbnail, easier on all concerned.  For Imageshack, it uses less bandwidth for pictures that might not be viewed anyway, and for people with slower or older systems they don't have to wait forever for a post with twenty huge images to load.

I've actually been using embedable and it seems to work fine. When i used the thunbnail one it showed an icon but no picture.

just press ctrl + print screen.  it puts a screenshot right into your folder my documents/my games/

lol thanks charon2112. The reason I actually posted this was because I woul do exactly as you ssay but when my computer tabbed the Galciv2 program it would crash every time I would try to go back into the game.
