Mouse Scroll + Viewing Angle

Is there any chance that:

a ) There could be a change so I could scroll across the map with my mouse instead of having to use directional keys?

and

b ) I could change the viewing angle?  A lot of the time I feel like I'd prefer it to be a bit more overhead.  Or maybe sometimes I want to go down to base level if I want to view on the game on a "cinematic" level (even if that is not useful for gameplay).  Really though, I'd just like to adjust the angle according to my preference.  This could easily be assigned to the mouse wheel click.

Also, as a side note, would it be possible to make it so that if I click on a point on the minimap, my screen immediately goes to that part of the map?  I shouldn't have to zoom out, move my screen over, and zoom back in to do that.

Cursor tracking has already been asked,

It still works, its just an option now thats not on by default. Gameplay -> Edge Tracking - set to ON. Then everything is back to what your used to.

And I believe the spacebar is the key you are looking for to rotate the camera.

I think this (camera angle hotkey) gets asked  at least every other day.

it should be added as a togglable option; God know how many times i've accidentally clicked in the minimap while issuing orders in the corner of the screen.

that said; i originally found the strategic zoom (from the days of SupCom) terribly frusterating. but i persisted and now i love it; clicking on a minimap doesn't let you jump to the degree of precision that zoom does.

with a little practice, you'll find it's just as fast to zoom than jump.

Togglable options are fine.

Also, I'm not asking to rotate the camera, I'm asking to change the angle of the camera.  One is more aesthetic than anything, the other can be helpful for gameplay.  Both should be possible, however.

Since Edge Tracking is an option, my suggestion is that it should be ON by default.

You can rotate the camera up and down, too.

ah. i too find the camera angle too shallow, and find 55* to be my ideal angle.

now, the reason i know precisely 55* is my favourite is because i know the console commands to set the near and far camera angles.

they should be; 'cam_nearPitch' and 'cam_farPitch', i do believe you'll know which each does.

continuing on from this; it only lasts per-game (or maybe per lifetime of the program), so you'll need to do it again and again and again. for this i recommend you pop over to gamersreplays.org and find Sorian's mod-manager for the latest DG beta.

assuming there is one current, then go to http://forums.gaspowered.com/viewtopic.php?p=469265, and download my Console++ mod.

it might take some fiddling, but you should be able to get it working.

Thanks, but tbh you shouldn't have to do that in order to set the default camera pitch.  Should just be an option.  Nevertheless, I'll look into that for the time being.
