Game will not install

May 21, 2003 11:49 PM from

Have been trying for 2 hrs now to get this damn game to install and all I keep getting is an error message saying Galactic Civ has encountered a problem and needs to shut down. We apologize for any inconv. And then it offers to send error report.

This is what it says:

App name setup.exe
App ver 0.4455.0.0 mod name setup.exe

mod ver 0.4455.0.0
offset: 00001e08

Does anyone have any idea what the hell this all means. I have an AMD ATH 1.3 with 256 meg Ge4 card and an audigy sound card.

You can also try just copying the files off the CD to your harddrive and then running the installer.
