Two minor issues I've noticed in Entrenchment

Very sorry if  these have been posted before, but I've been too busy to look through the previous posts (I noticed the bugs themselves in my last game which was two weeks ago!)

 

1) My Starbase was firing weapons and destroying enemies whilst under construction.  - I'm not complaining because it helped me defend a planet, but unless it's meant to be a Death Star style decoy, it might be better if it didn't.

 

2) Ally AI needs fixing on a couple of things

2a) When I ping them to defend one of my planets which is under attack, they either i) Never come ii) take FAR too long to arrive iii) when (if) they do arrive, they often ignore the attacking forces and go back to what they were doing EVEN IF I tell them to attack individual targets. 

ok, ii) is because they always phase jump simultaneously - not ideal but bearable.

iii) warrants further explanation -

I was heavily under attack and requested help from an AI ally (using the 'defend' ping button)- the teams were LOCKED 2v2.

They arrived about 10 minutes later, and then when they arrived en masse, they attacked for about 30 seconds and then made their way out of the gravity well. I told them to attack specific enemy ships, and was told "we will not attack an ally" (remember: Locked teams). They then left the gravity well. I lost the planet.

 

PS. I'd enjoy the game much more if ally AI were improved further, because I'd get decimated in multiplayer games, and I can't commit to more than a couple of hours a week at the moment.

I agree the ai is very annoying. The reason they said we will not attack ally is because the bloody attack and defense if for planet use only. Defend means DEFEND THIS PLANET. Attack means ATTACK THIS PLANET. Very limited in my opinion and i've seen teh same thing. EVEN when teh ai outnumber their enemy and can win an engagement eveen though you tell them to attack they normally jsut ahve thier fleet either sit there or warp in find more ships than before warp back out get anotehr 5 ships warp back in and warp out. I've seen the ai mass to attack a planet for 10 minutes of FAST ONLINE gameplay before they even attacked. When they did it was a 2 bar fleet against an 8 bar THEY DECIMATED THEM.

   ALso ticks me off that in entrenchment the ruiner's are better than any other ship out there. Build 20 of those thats 140 support yet i took out with that 2 capitals about 5 turrets 10 disciples 10 illuminators and 2 hanger bays. AND STILL GOT BACK TO MY BASE WITH 17. Damaged but not dead. Repairer up and wiat for regen. This is also on offense geeeeeeez. Mines need an ability that allows you to buidl them like normal and make mine ships entirely defenseive. Mines aren't offensive and should be able to be placed like orbital buildings click build click build click drag build line. Makes it feel ore strategy instead of Player Skill SPAM THIS SPAM THAT WIN.

First off... Since when have you helped out the ally AI when he asked for help? :) I for one don't. So why would they come to your aid? IMO, miens wouldn't be bad the way they are if not for the silly 'phased out' invulnerable thing and the bug which goes with it (rapidly switching between in and out). As far as the pirates go, was there a pirate base planet in the system you were in? If not, they will have nowhere to attack from, ect, and thus will not even exist.

Yeah I just realized they were, and for some reason locked teams only didn't work for that game.
