Impulse still horrific

WTF is with this stupid app?  So today I check to see if there is an update for Sins but I can't download it since an Impulse update is running.  Well, that took hours, finally finished and claimed it needed a restart before I could start the Sins update.  A restart didn't do anything except restart the initial Impulse update that, unhelpfully, isn't downloading.  Why doesn't this G**D**M thing ever work in a sensible way.  I not for SINS I would never deal with this crap company and this most useless of apps.  Hours of wasted time to be no further along - I haven't even been able to START doing what I wanted.

I've just purchased Sins - can't even play it because Although I can access community/explore in Impulse, It gets stuck at 'logging in - validating registrations'.

Consequently I can't even download the game. :|

I can't help thinking that it's kind of silly to buy something without making sure the basic requirements are fully met....

from the "minimum requirements" on the Sins page:

  • Broadband Connection for Internet Multiplayer
  • Impulse client software for download/install/updates.

    Make sure you have the lasted client. Impulse Client - Full

    Change the download mechanism (Orb | Preferences | Connections |BITS)
