error message impulse. account expired

update attempt says error account expired and cant uodate my registration info to add matching emails to play Dark expansion that i dl

i own the original game. just bought and dl he expansion pack. loaded fine. cant play tho cause says i need to update original game and also that the emails dont match. i had no email for the original. never registered it. wont allow me to update the registration in impulse tho. says error. i have just recently v=created an account so how is it expired. i validated it as well
