[Bug/Ballance] Rooks Tower of Light

I noticed a very cool feature just now where Rooks ToL links with his shoulder mounted ToL. When Rooks ToL links with his shoulder mounted ToL It still deals the same ammount of damage and the damage is realy crap, like 15 damage or less, this should be fixed to deal normal tower damage.

Also, give teh ability to target already existing towers with the tower of light ability, upgrading them up to 3 levels. Instead of alot of small useless towers he could have a few bigger ones that actually help.

Yeah I would prefer that to sevenix

I still think rooks towers are next to useless as well.

i think that it would be best if the towers would be a bit stronger from start and lvl up over time, getting stronger in damage health and range. maybe they also get something like a jumping laser which hits up to 3 targets on maximum level, dealing less damage with every jump.

therefore you can only place about 5 or 6 towers. so you can use them perfectly for defence but not push very goood with them as they need time to evolve...

i would also recommend to upgrade the structure absorbing skill so that rook could also heal his own towers with it by sacrificing his own HP, this would offer a good tactical addition to the rook as a good defence character.

I think towers should get a little better but also more. If multiple towers are in range and do that hit each other chain thing for every tower thats in it u add 1 to Y in the formula d=xy. X = damage tower does. Y= how many towers in the chain. D=damage that the tower thats actually attacking does. D= should be very powerful with all your towers in range of each other.

i still think they would be more useful if they strike not strong several at the same time. they are thought as defensive structures against grunts and creeps in my opinion and that would bring the best effectiveness to them withoug making them insane. if the damage is increased and the can charge over 10 times that could maybe get overpowerd against other demigods ... i dunno, they will find something goot :)

I had a play around with a tactic as Rook alongside a friend (also playing rook) earlier yesterday, after we noticed that allied rook towers of light (shoulder mounted and summoned) link together as well. Essentially we both put a point into tower power and got the shoulder mounted tower to link up to. Then we used wands of speed and teleport persistant items to wreak some havoc; we were able to get some good siege in very early on this way (one rook heads to enemy base, puts up tower, other rook ports in, raises another tower, there are now 4 towers, both rooks included, linked up in a chain) which added some money to the pot, but we found that unless the towers that rook creates or has on his soulder are linked with the towers at the base, the damage is pathetic.

While it could be argued that the towers rook places are for extending the range of the towers at base (whereby they keep the big damage the towers at base do), or purely for team mates to port to, I think this does a disservice to what could be an interesting tactic and alternate spec to the already old "boulder and hammer" routine.

Thats why towers are we and easy to kill.

I sort of disagree here and think that rook towers should be nerfed or the cooldown time increased or smthg.

As Rook it is just too easy to do an early tower rush. on a small map this means that you opponent has almost no access to the flags...

End of iamKira's quote

But the towers they have deal no daamge (or very little, at least). While Rook is doing an early siege attempt he is highly vulnerable to enemy Demigods because he lacks ranegd attacks or a ranged AoE move early game.

I would agree with putting cooldown on the tower summons up if they were made stronger and more durable. As it is now they simply act as a short term defence boost if you leave one up in your base, or a summonable teleport platform for your allies.
