Font problem

I'm trying to iron out the bugs in the Windowblind I'm creating, and I'm just unable to figure out what to do about this.  It has to do with the fonts in my popup menus. The font colors have a horribly shadow type of thing.  I've tried adjusting them every way I can think of and this still keeps happening.  I've tried disabling 3d effects, I've tried changing font types and font colors, it still ends up looking like this:

Karen, I think it's a border,  check the font options and see? :)

I checked all the fonts, and they're all set to Normal Text (no effect).  It's drivin' me nuts!

:D   I figured it out!  I had to go into the system colors and make them match my menu background.  

The tutorials are great, but there is just some stuff that isn't covered and you have to have a pathological case of OCD to figure out on your own!
