[Balance] Unclean Beast sucks

Currently the Unclean Beast is the worst of the characters. There is no one defining ability that just sucks, they all just don't play well. This is combined with his short melee range making him pretty worthless vs creeps. He can kill creeps if micro managed only.

No major initial damage abilities mean that he can't hit hard once. No superior speed (something that REALLY makes him stand out) meaning he can't slow enemies and karate-chop them to death. No high armor meaning he can actually rush in and bash hreads even though that is what he is good at.

Please consider this.

Well i'v played nothing but UB since beta2 and I like this DG a lot. I go crazy with anything that increases my movement speed and with that i'm capable of attacking enemys all the way back to their base. Only problem is mostly all other DG's can 1 hit kill a whole spawn of creeps but UB can't. Also I would like to see ooz more usefull I never level that ability.

same with terror except I dodn't use UB all the time. I have heard alot of people say differnt demigods suck so to me that just means that each demigod is differnt enough that not everyone is going to be good as another at a certain demigod. btw I have heard atleast once from some person or another that every demigod play able right now sucks.

I'm probably going to agree that UB stepped into a vat of nerf for beta 2. First DG I played, and only way that he was playable was through massive speed upgrades and warpstone. Even then it was rather difficult to challenge other similar players, to the point that I rarely got kills.

The only useful way to play UB in my experience is to use him as a fast melee disruption to support a kill by another dg (especially with the foul grasp stun, but that comes so late and doesn't do enough damage). With a couple of speed boosts and a warpstone, UB can tele in and provide a bit of chaos/disruption while another dg deals a death blow. Erebus, however, can use this tactic as well and do it much more effectively.

Most of the UB's powers focus on improving his basic attack, which can easily be mitigated by stacking up on armor - I've been able to go straight melee against a UB a few levels higher than me and win fairly easily, without much recourse, especially with DGs with ranged attacks. And the DGs without ranged attacks are built to be more powerful and will usually win (Rook/Oak).

Have only been playing since Beta 2, but those are off the top of my head.

UB excels in fast attacks and pursuing retreating demigods. It is a shame that his basic attack, his main strong point, becomes so obsolete later on; perhaps giving Inner Beast (his passive buff to movement and attack speed) some kind of armour penetration bonus per level might even that out a bit?

He seems to have fairly low HP for a melee Demigod as well as a low defence capability, and to to my eyes he should hit hard and fast, and then get the hell out of dodge. In fitting with his beast appearance, perhaps giving him a higher dodge rating than other demigods would balance things; he doesn't need that much more defence if he's not going to be hit as often.

Just a few thoughts...

More synergy with his deseases, poisions would be good. Right now he is kinda boring compared to other Demigods. I agree that he isn't too bad, and other DG's have bgger problems but he isn't the best either.

I made a thread about this, but everyone just said UB was fine. Make his venom spit let the target give off a slime spore, that buffs UB and allies, and gives negative effects to enemies.

Yah venom spit right now I think is UB's worst ability

I guess when they balance out stuns, UB will be better. Since UB's only stun ability also freezes the UB he is rather useless.

On the up side with a few armor upgrades towers don't really hurt DGs much, so UB with his speed upgrades, speed items, and - movement speed ability could put the pressure on other DGs to somehow try to escape the clutches of super melee attack.

However by the time the UB is useful, mr vampire lord is mostly invulnerable.

While it does seem he is a little weaker than most other Demigods, most of the issues come with management of the abilities.  Specifically, it seems he will often times stop attacking, have trouble initiating an attack or seem to get confused on what he is doing.  To use him to his best ability, it is a constant click fest to ensure he stays on target.

As far as balance, I think he could be brought up a great distance if he had a little more HP and his #2 Ability, the howl could be performed on the run and not have the activation counter.  Trying to run up to someone, yet having to stop moving to activate a Melee attack ability just lets the opponent run away.
