There is a new Theme Manager that should be showing up in Impulse under the My Desktop Tab.  Have you downloaded it yet?

What version are you usingand what themes/suites are you trying to apply?

the theme manager that is installed is version 3.00.057 and no update available.  I assume this is the current version

Does it have an error log, Zubaz? I can't find it if it's there. Maybe uninstalling, rebooting and reinstalling might solve the problem. I tried to find TM 3.00 Documentation, but it hasn't been finished/posted at SD yet.

I uninstalled, rebooted and re-installed and it's still problematic.  Seems like since I renewed my object desktop subscription, I am having all kind of problems with stardock products.

Okay, since you uninstall, rebooted and reinstalled and that hasn't fixed things lets go back to basics.

Do all the individual programs within Object Desktop work?  In orther words you can apply WB, IP, etc.

All other components work, except deskscapes and it crashes when I install it.

Well that's good, except for DeskScapes.  What OS are you running?

I've just started to use the new Theme Manager in making new Suites.  There are still a few bugs with it and it won't install everything that you want to.  For instance IP won't install.

Are you having problems with it loading old suites that you made under the previous version of Theme Manager?

I'm running xp sp3, with 2 gigs ram, 2.40 processor and nvidia geforce 6200 pci card  (256 mb memory) and yes the suites in question are older ones, some I paid for and others are premium skins, courtesy of stardock to object desktop subscribers.

Before trying to apply a suite click on the Setting Tab and be sure to check the box for advanced options.  Does that help any?

I read under the software descriptions that Theme Manager is not supported in XP.  Did this change?  I have XP Pro and had problems after installation and then read that my OS can't support it (so I uninstalled).

I'm running XP Home SP3, 32-bit and it's working ok for me.  There are a few bugs which I'm sure will get fixed sometime after the 1st.

What problems were you having?

Hi Philly,

My computer wouldn't finish loading completely often and then if it did, the CPU would max-out continuously.  I had a hunch last night and think that I finally found the reason....my Kaspersky anti-virus program may have been interfering.  I've gone in and done some tweaking, now I need to re-install Theme Manager and see what happens!

Thanks!

My anti-virus program was the problem.  I've reinstalled Theme Manager and was able to apply the Aero Midnight theme (thank you for including this theme) correctly.  There was a big problem, though, because none of the other themes downloaded from Wincustomize would load.  In trying to figure this out, I came back to this thread and saw the key to getting it to work properly.  In reply #10, Philly0381 said to check the box for advanced options before applying a theme.  Before I checked this box, nothing would happen when I tried to apply a theme.

I'm sure this problem is happening to other people.  Is there a way to make it known in a prominent place to check the box for advanced options in the settings tab?

I just love Object Desktop and could never live without it!  Thank you again Philly0381 and everyone on Wincustomize and Stardock for such great products, support, and creativity!!

Adding it to the description of each them might work . . . but we are working on rsolving the issue so it won't be needed
