I just downloaded objectdock and was wondering if I could use it to replace my toolbar. Is there anyway to have it show the notification area like the regualr XP toolbar?

I use Object Dock Plus but I think this is available under Object Dock. Open Object Dock configuration and look for a selection for Dock Contents. You should see some selections there that should get you what you want.
You can with the Plus version. Check the 'Free vs. Plus' comparison.
