i believe the lowered price is a consequence of a recent realization the us oil reserves had been underinventoried by 4 million barrels (they sure do have a problem keepin track of strategic materials huh?).  not to worry, it went back up again due to (i cant explain this) a new oil discovery in nigeria.  i guess it takes a lotta oil to keep those nigerian email hoaxers workin 24/7.
