Update without Impulse?

I do respect the fact that Stardock decided to create Impulse but I'm a frequent user of Steam and to be honest I don't want to have more than one content delivery software installed. I've managed to find an offsite patch for v1.11 but that didn't include the hotfix so it wasn't too much help for me. Can anyone help? I refuse to download Impulse so that won't be an option.

Impulse is the only means by which we will provide updates going forward.

Unlike Steam, it is only needed to do the actual update and does not need to be running or even installed outside of that, so I wouldn't think it so unbearable to use. Certainly not so much so as to justify "finding an offsite patch" (read: downloading it from a questionable source), which we will not support and will not condone.
