Downloading Impulse Updates

It's taking so long to download the impulse update, I get the follow errors

Context: DownloadJob Transient Error - impulse_main/impulse PublicProduction 3.11.333
Message: The operation timed out

This is preventing me from installing any new games that I purchased from stardock, since I can't install while Impulse is updateing

since I can't play the new game I brought can I get a refund until you guy fix you site,

I've tried with no firewall no programs running in the background and a lot of other thing that I really don't have time for & by the way your software is the only thing not working, Steam ,D2D all works find so it your software not my computer

I'm having problems updating as well. Used the download link as provided by Zubaz but that installed Impulse version 3.02.305 (images: 3.02.137)(Build 947). One would think if Impulse is used to update games it should be able to update itself automatically.

I'm attempting to install it from the Download Impulse Now! Link in the Impulse Support Webpage.

* just installed it and launched Impulse and the first thing I get is a .NET Runtime Optimization Service Error...Nice!

Hi Hozy,

I've managed to get Impulse to autoupdate itself, I now have version 3.11.333 (images:3.10.181)(Build 947). Currently Impulse is "Preparing download.." of Sins:Solar Empire update v1.12.042. Plus my HDD light is constantly lit so I'm guessing something's happening.

If you want to try what I did, it may or may not help resolve your issue. I basically uninstalled all current and previous versions of Microsoft .Net Framework Service. Went and got the latest Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5, and installed that. So far so good, now downloading 1.8%

I want to thank everybody for their help.  Basicly the problem just went away, I didn't do a thing but wait 18 hours and just like that..... all fixed as a matter of fact I think it's even faster than before.  It works with my firewall up no background programs disabled no setting adjustments just turn on and go.

So..sometime it's just a matter of patience  |-)
