Can't join other games, different game data error, with same versions

I just patched my game to v1.12, and now it turns out that i can't join other games, and i can't be joined by other players. i get a network error which says that my game data differs from the host.

i tried to join a game which was hosted by someone who also had v1.12, and i got the same network error. other player seem to have the same problem when trying to join games hosted by me. they only appear half a second in the game lobby then they disappear again.

i dont have any mods installed.

i already tried reinstalling the game.

does anyone knows a solution or knows anything that might help?

i've tried the steps described in the linked post, and i'm waiting for a response from support.
