If you're getting a crash, make sure to send the dump file in to [email protected]. Also, make sure you're not using a replay from an older version. If you're having some other issue, please elaborate.
AFAIK, the issue is the replays themselves diverge somehow. The replay you're shown isn't actually what happened during the game. That was the complaint in 1.11 anyway. I *think* it's limited to MP replays, since I tried looking at a few SP ones and it seemed fine, but those are long so I didn't watch them through completely.

v1.12 replays do not work in v1.12. This was true in v1.1 and v1.11. I don't know about SP, but no MP replay shows what happened. The chat logs are great, but it will not show what worlds are occupied or fleet movements. If you need more elaboration or replay files, take a look at my other postings about this problem in previous versions. In those threads, I included replay files for you to look at (and apparently haven't).
