The rise of thought police in Australia

I just saw a news report (http://news.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=683689) that some guy got nailed for child pornography based on cartoons!!

Am i crazy or has the legal system in Australia gone mad?? I mean cartoons are imaginary depictions, a product of imagination. So if cartoons can be illegal then the next step along from that is to police the imagination itself!

I think the noble cause of protecting children from exploitation, is growing all out of proportion in this country, and it is beginning to look like a repeat of 'reds under the bed'!
