Not loading full skin

I am new to using DesktopX and I do have the full version. I downloaded a few DesktopX themes and I try to load them with desktopx but only part of them shows. Only some of the widgets and objects show up. The taskbar and the appearance of my windows stays as the original XP colors and shapes. Some of the themes also dont put up there wallpaper that the thumbnail shows on the website. What might be the problem and what could I do to get the themes I downloaded to look like what the thumbnails look like? thank you for the help.

What are the DesktopX Themes?

Like WindowBlinds, DX themes don't always include a wall.

The description on the theme page will usually let you know what is included and how the theme works. 

The best way to get help in these cases is to PM or email the skinner of the DX Theme.

The themes i downloaded are: blue on black, cast aluminum dx, and mocha mint dx. But wouldnt the taskbar change to the one in the picture or are those usually seperate too? I will have to get a hold of the creator, thank you for the help

As PDJ's tester I can tell you that he uses the taskbar from whatever WindowBlind that he has loaded at the time of the screenshot.As for the wall,some are included,some are not.Blue on Black should have one,for instance.

You can set DX to load whatever wall you want to use in a theme by right clicking the systray icon while in builder mode,select configure DX builder,select the desktop tab,then wallpaper.Place a check in background image(or uncheck it and select "none" if you don't want the wall applied) and browse to the image you want to use.Hit apply on the configure window and you are good to go.
