download location

I am trying to download Galactic Civ  and am having an issue with drive space.  I have a c partition that is just for windows and small apps.  The D drive is where I install and downlaod everything to.  Impulse does not seem to have any way to change the default download location.  Is this correct?  I don;t have anything left to uninstall, so thats out.  I changed the default download Dir to the other drive, but Impules must not use that folder.  Is there a way to move the downloaded files manually before they extract.  I have enough space to download but not to extract.  Kind of irritating.

I've had a similar problem. I separate my programs and download partitions into D: and E:, and E: is one of the smaller ones. Impulse couldn't install WindowBlinds because of lack of space on E: I have never specified E: as the preferred download partition - it just happens to be where I put stuff prior to installation.

It might be smarter if Impulse chose the partition with the MOST available space instead of the LEAST available. I have a partition which is 400GB free. In Stardock Central it was possible to specify where stuff should be put, but Impulse prefers not to give the user a choice. Maybe it's just another example of today's tendency for dumbing down.

You can change the download path in impulse.  Click on teh Staardock orb in teh upper left, then Preferences, then folders. Esach section has it's own download path so set them each as you want.  Make sure you adjust the temp locatoin too.
