How come I can't download the new sins patch

Every time I try to download the 1.11 patch (I already have the 1.05) it stops at 1.9% complete. Then it kicks back in and when it gets to 100.% it says encountering network difficulties...server timed out. I have done this at least 15 times. I have uninstalled the game, impulse, turned off my avg protection. Nothing seems to work. I am this close to quitting this stupid game! I spent fifty bucks three weeks ago and now I can't play the game. WHAT A RIP-OFF!

A few options.

  1. Uninstall and reinstall.  The full download uses different servers adn those will likely work really welll.
  2. Try the alternative download method by clicking on the orb in the upper left and then preferences, then connections, then the bottom option.

Just to be safe and troubleshoot please try this out.

-Click the blue Stardock Logo in the upper left
-Choose 'Preferences...'
-Click on the 'Folders' section on the left
-Click the 'Reset Data' button
-Close impulse and relaunch it. You may notice a long update time, which is normal as it is rebuilding the deleted info.
