Trail Rendering :(

how do I force the rendering of the fighter/bomber trails

Hi there

 

since Sins was released I got this technical "Problem" where the trails of the bombers/fighters aren't rendered anymore if too much is going on. It's probably (or most certainly) because I only got 256MB VRAM.


But I'd really like them to be rendered, just for screenshots ( http://www.forum-3dcenter.org/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=6864580&postcount=571 ) - is there any way to force the rendering no matter what via config entrys or so?

No suggestions/ideas at all? :/ Can someone at least tell if its possible or not?

Have you tried adjusting the slider for engine trails in the options menu. I know that many/all of the effects are rendered in 2d so that if your viewing angle is to close to trails, beams and shield restore they just dissapear untill the angle changes.

 

What are the other settings you use. Ship bump count, AA. What make of card do you use.

All Options are at maximum while using 8xS Antialiasing. It's definatly something that has to be adjusted - or rather forced - via config files if possible.
