hidden dock doesn't operate as I expect

I've been using OD+ for years and I love it except one thing that really ticks me off.

I have a systray hidden dock on the right edge of my screen.  When I go to scroll in an application, I invariably touch the edge of the screen for ms's before landing the mouse properly on the vertical scroll bar.  However, that is enough to cause the dock to appear.

I have the the Interaction set to "Hide off-screen when not in use" and I have the "Delay to reshow" set to long.

Why does this happen and is there a way around this? (And, no, I don't want to move my dock to another location. :P)

I also ran into this problem.  Big annoyance.  I was always accidentally opening up the dock when all I meant to do was click one of the browser tabs at the top of my Chrome browser.  I seems that if you just touch the edge of the screen for a millisecond and then move away, but keep the mouse within the area that the dock will eventually fill, then the dock will still pop up after a bit.  This behavior is what drove me to un-install ObjectDock and install RocketDock instead ( http://rocketdock.com )

Or, you could use the scroll wheel...or the v arrow on your keypad.
