Getting Mods to Work

Greetings all. I suspect that this may be a noob question, but I seem to be having trouble in getting my Mod to work. I've downloaded it, and I know where I'm to put it (I've read what it says) but I can't seem to find the mod folder. Any ideas where to put it, or am I suppose to create a mod folder?

I run Vista, so I imagine that it's the problem. I'd appreciate any help.

If you can't see the AppData folder, make sure you enable "Show hidden files and folders" in your Windows Explorer settings :) It's hidden by default. The path is there, the game uses it for its user settings, saves, etc - so it can't not exist :) Also make sure you're running the latest version, 1.0 had no mod support so in there actually isn't a Mods folder in the path.

.. I think that about covers everything that it could be :P

Thanks for the help! I do see the AppData folder, but it doesn't have a mod folder...I'm running the latest version, 1.1.

Another question...I'm rather confused...where is that button to show hidden folders?

It's in your Windows Explorer options, should be Tools > Folder Options > View or something like that (running on XP right now at work, so Vista might be slightly different).

Your full path should be C:\Users\youruser\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods. There's definitely a mods folder in there with 1.1 ;)

Excellent! There was another option (always show folders) that I had to click. Thanks folks!
