Hello,
I am currently on the beta patch. For some reason, when I view recorded games, I can't switch the player I am viewing or increase the rate of speed. The buttons are there, when I go to click on them, nothing happens.
I'd appreciate any help.

Don't worry, this is a known bug and is fixed for tomorrow's release of 1.1 final

Are you using the Beta version (1.096)? If so, try hitting Ctrl-Shift-X, then try the buttons. (And the same combination to toggle the "mini-underground window" back on when you play a game.
