New drive, old install

So, new hard drive, new OS, but I'm trying to keep this one empty of games. So, I'm simply installing games onto the old hard drive, most times overwriting the original versions on the drive. With Steam, I just told it to install to the folder on the F: and it worked great. Patched, then when I ran it, it had all my games there and installed. With Impulse I did the same, but its telling me to download them.

And I'd rather not redownload 3Gb of games. Of course, I'd also rather not, have to boot back into that OS to archive those installs just to unarchive them again. Is there another way to do this that doesn't involme me restarting or redownloading everything?

Thanks!

When you changed the placement of the downloaded files did you also change the temp directory to the same hard drive? It is under the preferences menu you used to change the default location before. Try moving it to that drive and then redownload the games. Since in the information is already there it is just a formality to get Impulse to go through the motions.
