How can i capture asteroids? I cant seem to locate any answers on the forums and the manual is no help. I usually play TEC and I Have tried a an akkan capital ship and a frigate that can colonize, tho very slowly, but I cant find a way to capture an asteroid . The screen says they're invulnerable, but can be captured, but how?
if your talking about the resource asteroids, you have to send a colony ship and use the "Capture Extractor" ability to capture them
is the 'capture extractor' ability an extra ability for the colony frigate od the akkan cap ship? i cant seee that ability listed with either of these vessels so is it an extra ability?
The TEC's ability is called "Crew extractor" it does the same thing as "Capture Extractor", is that ability there?
yes it is, but nothing happens when I click on a 'captureable extractor' with the colony frigate.. ..tho the frigate crew extractor ability suggest that it should...
For Advent and TEC the colony frigates have the ability to capture neutral extractors. Vasari use their scouts for the job. The 3 special cap ships can only on colonizable planets and asteroids. I got confused, too.
my mistake... the colony frigates did 'captre' the xtractors ... i failed to notoce the icon indicated I onwed it now and was trying to capture one I already owned.. pays to actually look at the screen..
