I was able to replicate that issue and I have reported it up to the developers.

The score is the number score that Vista has given your machine hardware. You would have to improve portions (likely the ones scoring the lowest) to improve the Vista score.

Thanks, Seabass!  Not fixed yet. Not complaining...just updating (LOL).

Both of you, please go into the Stardock Orb and click off 'Show Pre-Release..'. The update you are seeing is likely the beta which is not available though it is listed. After that Impulse will likely show that the product is installed. Please let me know if this is the case for both of you.

Did as you asked, sir. The "Show Beta" was indeed checked. I unchecked it and closed Impulse then reopened it and "there waren't nuttin' thar!"

I conclude that you're right and this was a Beta not ready for download.

Doc smiles and says,"Thank you Seabass!".

*sorry, double posted.

Another update to that. The beta has been republished and should be working now. You might see little quick updates after the first update. If the only change in the number of the update is in the last group of numbers it isn't a content update, just an Impulse/developer update. If you like you can now get the beta of Sound Packager with out issue.

I use XP SP2 and Sound Packager updated perfectly through Impulse.  I am however getting that error about the MyColors AMD Game Desktop.  I have already registered my key in Impulse.

angus1949 - check to see if the serial number is listed in the registry menu of Impulse (the key icon in the top right corner). If it is try clicking the Stardock Orb > Other preferences > folders > reset data... and then let Impulse do its thing. See if that does not clear it for you.

Same thing here, and I also have Object Desktop Ultimate (that does not expire until February).  Sound Packager doesn't seem to like my registration code after I updated it through Impulse.

I was able to replicate this at home with my own install once. Uninstalling and reinstalling the application helped but I sense that it is just a work around. I will be doing a follow up with our testers in the morning to find out if anything in the last publishing might have gotten messed up or missed. Sorry for the trouble guys. Any new details please let me know. Also give the uninstall, restart, reinstall a good try just to be sure.

Not fixed in the final build.

Edit [11-21-2008]: The problem is gone, thanks!

Glad to hear it! If anyone has the same troubles still please make certain to uninstall Sound Packager and restart your machine before reinstalling it again. Clearing the cache helps a great deal. Let us know if it persists after that!

Seabass how about this for a problem.

I updated Sound Packager with no problem.  The program just won't open up, gets about 75% loaded and stops and give an error message that it encountered a problem and needs to shut down.  Thinking this was somehow releated to the recent update to Theme Manager I uninstalled both ran CCleaner and reset data in Impulse and rebooted.  Reinstalled Sound Packager first, still won't load the program.  Reinstalled Theme Manager and opened it.  Went to Applications and clicked Sounds.  You will love this, I was able to change Sound Packages but Sound Packeger won't open.

Is that wierd or something? :S
