Help with making a Machinima

i think the closest yout going to get to that is lazysumos minimal. but you cant remove all the HUD because that is hardcoaded i believe. Here it is.

I found a ctrl-shift-z from one of the modders on the forum that takes away the ui for a "clean" look, the game is still playable, though of course any interactions requiring the menu's are now not possible unless you ctrl-shift-z again to restore the ui. But it is nice and clean and interesting for screen shots and for basic point and click manuevering. The minimal ui is nice as it is mostly out of the way, but not entirely, but it is still there for use just not so big. And the devs "may" change  how the ui functions in the expansions, but im not sure of that, it is just a guess at this point.

Anyway, keep playing and trying new things, we might get something that is just perfect for you.

Its really the removal of the cursor i'm most worried about - i can easily cut out the menus.

why do you want to remove all of that? i'm assuming for screenshots? still that's a bit drastic for a screenshot....? but that's just me

Just press Ctrl + Alt +H or somethign like that! one fo these shortcuts makes the entire menu dissapear!!!

CTRL+SHIFT+Z is awesome and absolutely perfect. Thank You very much for that information - however, the cursor is the only problem remaining if i can get rid of that somehow - i'm set.

@Phalnax, no it isn't for a screenshot...  its for filming. I'm going to be recording game footage for a video project i'm working on, do you know what Machinima is?

Hence why i need to remove the cursor as i can't have a cursor flying around my production. Its too professional for that.

hmmm..... can you do this from windows?  what i mean is take a cursor icon in windows and blank it, make it a clear window instead of some picture. Use it as a template, so you dont lose your ability to get it back. And then fire up the game?  But the game probably has its own icon for it anyway, so it may not accomplish anything.    Hmmmm.... this is a toughie...

Have you googled it?  Invisible cursor?  Just a last minute desperate thought.... haha... I wish i could help, im just running out of ideas. Sorry.

The game does indeed have its own. And again it would be preferable if i could turn the feature on and off with ease as i'll need to see where my cursor is at the end of every clip to ensure i can get positioned properly... Yes it is an annoying problem - are there any modders that no a script or something that can remove the cursor?

Try using FRAPS to record it, it has an option to remove the cursor in games. Worked well for me in the past.
