Multiplicity Protocol Errors?

I downloaded Multiplicity 1.21 Trial to use on my 2 xp pro computers.

Easy to install and worked perfectly... Thank you:)

This is one program that I will be upgrading to Pro when the trial expires!

Alas: After a few hours of use, I had need to reboot my secondary PC and when finished restarting, the Primary PC now gives error messages saying "Your connection with "XXXX" has been lost due to Protocol Errors.

The tray icon remains black on primary and is colored on secondary?

Tried uninstall/reinstall with no success?

Seems strange that everything should be working fine and then suddenly change due to a reboot.

I am using Eset Smart Security on Primary and Avast Pro AV on the secondary but even if these are both disabled, there is no success?

This is a great program that I would love to purchase if these issues could be resolved successfully before the trial period expires.

Any help would be appreciated.

Not sure what the protocol error would be there. Just to see use this program to uninstall and reinstall the Multi service:

http://sd.stardock.com/mike/apps/reinstall_mpp_service.bat

If that does not work try pinging the IP of the secondary to see if you can even make connection at all.

Thank you for trying to help but unfortunately the .bat files made no difference and I am able to ping both machines successfully.

Still getting the connection lost, protocol error though?

May I ask what router you are using?

The protocol error message would usually indicate a loss of packets or corruption.  It is also possible to get if you have two different versions of Multiplicity at each end.

Are you using wireless?
